Louise Nelson's Class 6th September :) :) :)

Hello Hello :)

I just wanted to update you on a few of the class details and further information regarding additional kit requirements.

If you have been to the shop your will have seen a layout [sneek peak below]. I have also added 2 tags for display this past Saturday. With this class I will be demostrating my favourite techniques uisng glitter and beads to create fabulous and fun backgrounds.

The layout and the tags are representative of what can be achieved with the techniques that I will be demonstrating in the class. I will be encouraging you to create in your own style  to create layouts and/or tags the suit your style and photos.

Here are some links to my blog showing some projects that showcase how I have used glitter and
beads;

With this in mind the Kit Costing will be very flexible and the cost will be as little or as much as you want to spend. There is a a fabulous range of chipboard and metal embellishments etc, available for you to create with. There will also be an assortment of coloured glitter and beads to choose from. There will be a basic Kit charge to cover shared workshop supplies which includes; greyboard backgrounds and tags, paints, mists, embossing enamels, sequins, and the use of specialist tools and equipment.

What you will need to bring in addition to Basic Kit:
  • Glossy Accents [there are very limited supplies available for purchase]
  • A Palette knife [example depicted below]

  • Brayer if you have one.
  • Heat Gun
If you wish to create a layout similar to the one on display I suggest you bring a photo that can be cropped to measure 7cms x 7cms.

For the tags I have used small black and white photos that vary in size to suit my choice of chipboard frames and chipboard photo corners.

If you have some glitter and/or seed beads in your stash and you would love to use them up, then please bring them along!!! :) :) :)

Cheers for now, I so cant wait to catch you all in class :) :) :)

What you need to know ….

The official starting time is 9.00am sharp.
The Church will be open from 8.30am for you to find a seat.

The Shop opens at 8am – make the most of 25% discount (excludes kits)! On the tables in the shop will be big sheets of paper, all you need to do is write your name on one and pile everything you want onto it. Sam will put the items through the till during the day. At the end of the day you will need to come over and pay.

For those attending for the first time and a reminder for everyone else.
The Church is across the road from the shop on the corner of Aver Rd and Goodwood Rd. You need to park across the road in the Church car park and not in the shop carpark.  This is important as you do not want to get a parking ticket.

Please follow any street signs in relationship to parking around the Church, if you can't get a space in the Church car park.

We have starting cooking up an amazing morning tea for all attending along with lunch. We will have a gluten free option as well.

To help make the day amazing, you all need to have an early night, the night before, bring a water bottle, nibbles and a cushion for your tush if you want.  We have a full on day planned with four projects including a name tag to get done before 4.30pm.
